First step towards system backup and recovery.

Sysreport is a simple tool that will backup all the critical files of a linux box.

Just run the command "sysreport" and it will backup all the critical files of the server and create a compressed tar file in the name of the server and place it in /tmp partition.

If you don't find the command please install sysreport-.rpm.

System Recovery
This tool was developed by redhat as a tool to assist crash recovery personals to simulate the crashed machine. This backed up file can provide the data center the vital information to recover servers and also can be used to restore most of the important configuration files. This tool is used for system recovery.
