 # cat /etc/issue

    Fedora release 18 (Spherical Cow)

 # uname -a
Linux localhost.localdomain 3.8.6-203.fc18.x86_64 #1 SMP Tue Apr 9 19:33:01 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
This above information is just to check or know our kernal is 64 bit or 32 bit. From the above output it is very clear that I use 64
bit kernal.

Installing Dependencies
 # yum install alsa-lib.i686 libXv.i686 libXScrnSaver.i686 qt.i686 qt-x11.i686 qtwebkit-2.2.2-2.fc18.i686

Installing Skype using rpm
 # rpm -ivh skype-4.1.0.20-fedora.i586.rpm
Download the rpm from skype.com and install it using by using the above command.
